Another interesting cover change

Hmm. My publisher, razorbill, seems to have swapped out the original cover of Betrayals for an entirely different one.

This is the second book in the new Strange Angels series.

This is the first book, if you're not familiar with it:

And these are the two versions of Betrayals. Original on the left, new one on the right:

I think the one on the left encompasses the brand better, but the one on the right is more likely to pop out on the shelves. Which do you prefer?

I like the red one better, I think. The green one looks so much like the first cover that I might miss that it's a new book in the same series.

you are right, but I like the left one better anyway Keith in SLC

I also think that the cover on the left is possibly too similar to the one for STRANGE ANGELS. I personally would find the one on the right more appealing.

I like things to match, so my love would be for the original cover. But I like the new cover aesthetically so...I'm neutral? XD

I like the new one better - the red will cause it to pop in a way that the dark blue-green-gray of the one on the left won't - there's a lot of blue-green-gray in the UA section these days.

I like the red one better. The original cover goes along well with the first book, but her stance and the hoody just looked awkward to me. Plus, the red is more eye catching.

I like both, but I think I prefer the one on the right more. It's nice to have a color change.

While, I do like both of the covers for the second book, I do like the new one more and I think it will allow it to catch more people's eyes when it's released because of the color change.
