ARC winner!

So, Laura, over at Laura's Review Bookshelf, should be announcing the winner as we speak! The ARC of Prada & Prejudice went to Lauren, who says this of the "most expensive useless item she ever bought:
The most expensive/ useless thing I ever bought were a pair of designer jeans that were around $250. I wore than once and put them in the wash and they ending up shrinking 2 sizes. I couldn't believe that I had just wasted my money on those.

Oh, Lauren, how I feel your pain! I am 5'10, and it seems like every time I buy the most-perfect-pair-of-jeans, they end up in the dryer and become high-waters. Not a good look, I am telling you.

I gotta say, it was *SO HARD* picking the winner! I am a  total backstreet boys fan, so I sympathized with fautedemiuex73's need to pay $100 for a New Kids on the Block doll. And when Yan said she let her friends talk her into buying a fancy dress that later proved to be see through, I couldn't help but picture Callie from Prada & Prejudice doing the exact same thing!  And Karen? I totally bought those three-inch-heel knee-high-boots too, a year ago, and have worn them twice. And took them off part way through the day both times. EEK.

This one, from Darling Diva, also made me laugh-outloud:
I went into a shop and purchased a Versace bag. It is gorgeous black snap boston leather bag with gold accents. Haaaaaazah, I was in heaven, but where would I use this voracious luxury. Let me tell ya, NO WHERE. I have yet to use it. It is not as if I live under a rock, but I dont feel comfortable going to wallmart in my sweats and my Versace bag.

Thank you everyone, for entering! I'm so excited that so many of you want to read PRADA & PREJUDICE. As of Sunday I only have 5 more months to go! (Not that I'm counting...)
