Bliss-- A review

So, last week I picked up Lauren Myracle's newest release, BLISS.

First off, let me say the cover is to die for, and its even creepier in person. It's practically dripping with blood, so the whole time you're reading, you're also sort of creeped out.

But WHOA, what I found inside the cover was even better! BLISS is about a girl who leaves a convent to live with her grandma, and she ends up at tending Crestview Academy, where a girl once threw herself from a third story window and died. When Bliss, the main character, starts hearing voices, she has no idea what she's about to uncover.

Let me tell you, this book is totally awesome. Every detail combines to create a story no one but Myracle could create. It's set in the late 60's, so there are references to the Manson "family" murders, random quotes from classic TV shows, references to hippies, etc. And it all works together in a haunting tour de force that'll keep you guessing until the very end.

Definitely go pick this one up!
