Four Weeks to go!

Today marks exactly one month until PRADA & PREJUDICE hits stores! 30 days!

So, today I give you: Four Movies I could watch over and over and never get sick of them:

1) Empire Records. I have watched this more times than I can count, and enjoy repeating random lines from time to time. The fat man walks alone!

2)The Notebook. Yeah. I'm one of those girls. But I LOOOOVE this movie. A Walk to Remember is closely on its heels, but as they are both Nic Sparks works, I'll lump them together.

3) Sweet Home Alabama. Mm. That guy is just plain hot. And I'm not talking about McDreamy.

4) Pride & Prejudice. The Keira Knightly version. *DUCKS*. Okay I know I am supposed to be sworn to the Colin Firth version, but I'm just not. The girl who plays Elizabeth drives me crazy. I'm sorry, all you Firth lovers! I totally understand his appeal. Please dont hate me.

I prefer the more recent version of P&P, as well...I do like Colin Firth, but I also think MacFadyen is yummy ;)

And yeah, the guy in SWA is nice!

I, too, am with you on the Keira Knightly version of P&P. But I haven't seen Empire Records, so I'm gonna have to add that one to the BB queue.

Re: Sweet Home Alabama
I think he plays the teacher in NEVER BEEN KISSED too. He's a hottie. :-)

And if only those brownie points were redeemable, huh? teehee.

I love Kira Knightly. And I have to say, that rendition of P&P -was- pretty good.

Yessss to Empire Records!! Damn the man, save the Empire! RaVe On RaVe On! I'm the same, there is no telling how many times I have watched the movie or randomly throw out lines. Over the years my friends no longer think I'm compeltely crazy for this.

The guy in Sweet Home Alabama is Josh Lucas I do believe and he is just *sighs*

OK, Empire Records pretty much made me want to gouge my eyes out, I found it so painful, but I am SO WITH YOU on Pride and Prejudice. I do not see the appeal in the miniseries either - we can dodge flying objects together.

I do love Matthew Macfadyen as Darcy and Simon what's-his-name as Bingley, and Jane is gorgeous. But the director was an idiot (and didn't really see the point in most of the stuff that's actually important to the story, so he totally altered Mrs. Bennet's character (for the better, but still) and completely changed the nature of the relationship between Jane & Elizabeth (a linchpin of the novel) and didn't understand why he really had to keep Wickham's elopement with Lydia in, nor why it was scandalous - I could go on, but I won't), and Keira looks like an irate lizard during her refusal of Darcy's first proposal.

Still, I like it. Because I'm odd that way.

I just re-watched Empire Records a few weeks ago. I used to watch it over and over and over again in college. I was worried I'd think it was silly and dated now, but actually, it just made me happy.
