Brand new books I want to buy

Which one should I buy?

The King's Rose by Alisa Libby
Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side
Sophomore Switch
Going too Far by Jennifer Echols

I'm soo annoyed that 3 of the 4 are hardcover, or I'd buy them all, but I try not to go overboard on the hardcovers becuase i always have ridiculously high expectations if I shell out $18.

I only read JESSICA's-- so I vote for that one. Since you are a young adult romance writer, it's a good lesson in writing an utterly scrumptious male love interest. I think he can kick Edward's butt.

Going Too Far!!! I can't even begin to express how adamant I am that you pick that one. It is one of the best books I have ever read. AMAZING!

Oh dont worry-- I WILL be purchasing it in the next 30 days some time. Sadly they didnt have it at the indy down the street where I shop on my lunch break, so I picked up THE KINGS ROSE to read while I ate.

I think jennifer is SO freaking talented-- i've read both her other releases and love them. :-)

Jennifer Echols - Going Too Far! I recieved a signed copy from her about a week ago and I read it that night. I couldn't put it down. Me and my co-owner wrote a review on our site and Jennifer emailed me about it. Not only is she an awesome writer, but she is AWESOME!

^If you'd like to check it out!

I'm a HUGE jennifer echols fan. :-). Her first two releases are totally awesome too. I am definitely going to pick it up...sadly my indie store where I shop at lunch didnt have it yet, so I'll save it for another week or two.

Your review was fun! Great format (the discussion)...you should do that with more reviews! Much more unique and interesting than just the usual review. It would be intereseting to see one you disagreed on, too.

I have only read one of her books, and I can say--I'm a fan! That's cruddy about your indie store. But they'll get it soon I'm sure =D.

Thank you about the review. We are trying to do things we never seen before. It was our first one so it wasn't as great as I'm sure we could do, but we'll get better. And yeah, we actually like pretty much the same stuff, but it will be so fun when we find a book that one likes and one doesn't.

I think with the explosion of book review blogs, differentiating yoruself could be a big coup-- and since you have two people (unlike most) you could really make an interesting, stand-out review site by doing things like you did with GOING TOO FAR. :-)

I think you are so right. Amber came to me with the idea and I fell in love with it. I have heard from several people that its really cool and different that we are two people running the site, but it just makes sense for us. We are both writers (non published) and have known each other over a year and have SO much in common--reading being our second love. We will have more "unique" addings onto the site in the future. Just not sure of what yet lol.

I've heard good things about Jessica's Guide from two readers I know and trust.

Hands down, Going Too Far!

I agree about hardcovers. Usually I'll only buy one if it's from one of my favorite authors or a really good deal.

I have yet to read the first three, but I just finished Going Too Far and it is AWESOME!

The King's Rose is in my TBR pile though, so I'll get to it eventually (it came in my big box o' Penguin titles that I got a couple months back, lol).

Hardcovers are $30 here. Much much more!

I've not read any of those but I say go and read reviews of them on Amazon and B&N. ;) If 90% vote that it's great, then buy that book!

And Mandy, when are you going to announce the winners to the P&P widget contest? I'm dying to know!!
