IM SPEAK

I interrupt the regularly scheduled blogging to bring you an EMERGENCY SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.

Yes, something earth shattering has happened. Something terrible.

I now say OMG and WTF outloud!! WTF?? How did that happen? Yes People, i actually pronounce it like, "Double-U Tee EFF!" or "OH EM GEE!"

This is the apolcolypse people. It has arrived. I am lowering the IQ of the masses single-handedly by talking in IM speak.

What's next, i ask you? Will i start saying "ROFL" like "roffle?"

I believe the next step on the downward spiral is verbing IM speak, as in "That was so funny I LOLed."

I am so Lol-ling over here!

I actually say "BRB" when I rush off to the bathroom sometimes. Oh, dear.

Do not panic. You can be saved from this tragic situation by the immediate application of... irony. Yes, irony. From now on when delivering IM-speak classics like WTF and OMG out loud, add: A) finger quotes, B) a snarky tone, or C) just a knowing eyebrow raise--and everything will be all right, I promise.

Haha! I also say WTF because it really cracks me up that people say that. Also because I cannot really pull off real cuss words. :)

I have caught myself saying "rofflemayo" -- only to myself so far!
